We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Kredly Currency Converter mobile application ("App") for iOS and Android. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. No User Accounts or Personal Registration
We believe in complete transparency and data minimization.
2. Information We Collect Automatically
Although we do not collect personal identification records, the App may automatically gather certain non-identifying technical data to ensure operational stability and provide location-based defaults. This data includes:
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version (iOS or Android), unique installation ID, and language settings.
- Crash Logs & Diagnostics: Performance telemetry, memory usage, and error reports (collected to debug issues).
- Coarse Location Data: Your rough geographical region based on your IP address. We use this solely to auto-select relevant default currency pairs (e.g., displaying USD/EUR rates if you are in Europe). We do NOT track your precise GPS coordinates.
- Affiliate Tracking ID: Anonymous conversion markers or click identifiers (necessary to verify that a redirect to a money transfer provider originated from Kredly).
3. How We Use the Information
We use the automatically collected technical information strictly for the following purposes:
- To operate, maintain, and optimize the performance of the App.
- To detect, prevent, and debug software crashes and bugs.
- To present relevant regional currency rates and money transfer options based on your estimated location.
- To measure conversion metrics for third-party affiliate commissions (e.g., verifying redirects).
4. Third-Party Services & Links
The App relies on third-party libraries and APIs (such as Expo SDK diagnostic tools, Google Analytics for Firebase, and third-party exchange rate feed providers). These third parties receive anonymous technical device telemetry to perform these functions.
External Redirects: The App displays links and redirects you to third-party money transfer providers (e.g., Wise, Xoom). When you click on these links, you leave Kredly. Kredly does not share your data with these providers. However, your interactions with these third parties are subject entirely to their respective privacy policies and data collection terms.
5. Cookies & Local Device Storage
To provide a seamless experience, the App may store user preferences (such as your favorite currency pairs, default base currency, language selection, or theme preferences) directly on your mobile device using local memory storage (such as Expo AsyncStorage or internal WebView cache). This data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
6. Data Security & Retention
Since we do not collect personal names, emails, or user profiles, we do not maintain a permanent database of user accounts. The anonymous technical telemetry (crash logs and metrics) we receive is kept for the minimum duration required to diagnose app performance and is securely deleted periodically. We employ standard technical safeguards to secure this data, but cannot guarantee absolute security over the internet.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect, request, or store information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). If we learn that we have inadvertently collected anonymous data from a child under these ages, we will take immediate steps to delete it.
8. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction (such as the European Economic Area under GDPR or California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your data.
Because Kredly is a registration-free app and does not store personal records, we cannot link anonymous device telemetry to a specific user. However, you can manage your privacy controls at any time by resetting your device's advertising identifier, limiting tracking in your device settings, or uninstalling the App.
If you have questions regarding your data privacy, you can contact us using the email listed below.
9. Governing Law & Governing Language
This Privacy Policy and our data handling practices are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Governing Language: This Privacy Policy is drafted in English and may be translated into other languages (such as Russian and Spanish) for convenience. In the event of any inconsistency, contradiction, or discrepancy between the English version and any translated version, the English version shall govern and prevail in all respects.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at our discretion. When changes are made, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after we post an updated version signifies your consent to the updated practices.
